Case Presentation

The presenter of a cold-case murder or disappearance at a Vidocq Society meeting could be:

• a law enforcement professional who has investigated the murder over the years and continues to carry it on his caseload;
• a Vidocq Society member; or
• a private investigator hired by the murder victim's family.

The spirited, synergistic question-and-answer period that follows each formal case presentation defines the genius of our organization. This no-holds-barred session becomes a collaborative effort that involves members and invited guests in the search for a solution to a previously unsolved crime.

If substantial interest is shown by Vidocq Society members following the case presentation, we assemble a "working group," an investigative team of Vidocq Society members and volunteers that is tailored to advance that specific investigation.
